Roy Oswalt. right-handed starting pitcher

Roy Edward Oswalt (born August 29, 1977 in Weir, Mississippi) is an Olympic gold medalist and American Major League Baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. currently in the eleventh major league season.
He spent a half year career at the Houston Astros organization.
Oswalt grew up in Weir, Mississippi, the son of Billy Oswalt, logger and a Vietnam veteran. He married his high school sweetheart, Nicole, and together they have two daughters. When they were teenagers, he and Nicole T-ball play against each other.
At Weir High School, Oswalt played defensive and wide receiver in football team, which won a state title senior year. He graduated in the class with 32 students.
